14 Content Worlds feature a wealth of expository content and serve as a child’s first interactive, visual online encyclopedia.

Every content world follows a consistent format and compiles a variety of items all related to the given topic.

14 content worlds

There are 14 content worlds in Early Learning. Each one covers a high-interest topic or a building block of the early childhood curriculum:

Featured content

From each content world's landing page, users can browse individual topics pertaining to the main subject in the featured content section near the top. For example, from the "My Body" content world, featured content includes Parts of the Body, Bones, Muscles, Inside my Body, and My Face. Choose any of the topics to read more.

The reader opens with the topic title and page number listed near the top left-hand side of the page. In spread view, text always appears on the left side with media on the right. Users can choose the play button to make the text read aloud with word-by-word highlighting. This mode is perfect for pre-readers and those who wish to have the stories read to them.

Users can navigate forward or backward through the content using the left and right navigation buttons or by swiping on a tablet or phone to turn the pages. Choose the X near the top right-hand side of the page to exit at any time.

Media and more

Videos, games, stories, images, and activities related to each content world topic can also be found on each content world's landing page, making it a one-stop-shop for all different types of content related to a topic.

For example, from the "People at Work" landing page, users can:

  • View videos of people at work.
  • Play games related to jobs.
  • Read stories or have a story read-aloud to them, such as "When I Grow Up..."
  • View images of people at work.
  • Complete digital or print activities.

Use the left and right navigational arrows or swipe on a tablet or mobile phone to view all of the content available for each media type.
