What are the system requirements for World Book Online?World Book Online is optimized and fully supported on the following browsers and devices:
- Chrome (version 60 or higher)
- Firefox (version 60 or higher)
- Microsoft Edge
- Safari (version 10.0 and higher)
- iPhone, iPad (iOS 16 and higher, Safari and Chrome)
- Android devices (Android browser)
- Windows devices (Internet Explorer)

How do I view and download MARC records for the resources?
You can download the MARC record for any World Book resource by going to the general MARC Records page.

How do I view and download Ebook MARC records?
Account administrators can log in to the Administrator Tools portal and click on the link to download Ebook MARC records under the "Downloads" section. This will lead to a page where you can download all of our current MARC records or any new MARC records that have been added since your last download.

Do you have any resources for languages other than English?
Yes! We have four resources professionally translated in other languages, including two fully Spanish resources - Enciclopedia Estudiantil Hallazgos for beginners and Banco de Contenidos aulaPlaneta for more advanced Spanish learners - and a fully French resource called L'Enciclopédie Découverte. Can I translate English content into another language?
Yes! The article content in the English-language Kids, Student, Advanced, and Discover can be translated into more than 100 languages. (For a printer friendly list of translations, click here.)
To translate an article, simply click on the Tools and Settings icon, select "Translate" or "Translate this text," choose a language, and click on the "Go" button. (In Discover, look for the drop-down menu on the left that says "Translate this text into:", select your language, and choose the "Go" button.)

I chose to translate an article into another language, but don't see the translation. How can I view it?
The translation might not appear for users with popup blockers enabled on their browser. You would need to either disable popup blockers or allow popups from worldbookonline.com to ensure this does not happen. On an iPad, go to the Settings app, choose Safari, and ensure that "Block Pop-ups" is turned off.

Can I use my IP Addresses for authentication instead of downloading a cookie on each workstation?
World Book products can now be accessed using IP address authentication as long as the individual IP address or range of IP addresses are static and used exclusively by subscribing institutions within your account. We do not support dynamic IP addresses that change each time you access the Internet. Please email slhelp@worldbook.com or contact your Sales Representative at (800) 975-3250 in the U.S., or (800) 837-5365 in Canada to set up this authentication method.

Do you integrate with any SSO providers?
World Book Online is fully integrated with Canvas, Classlink, Clever, G-Suite for Education, and Schoology. For information on these integrations, click here. To set up an integration, please email customersuccess@worldbook.com.

I have tried to bookmark the home page of a World Book resource. When I access my bookmark later, I see the login screen. How can I avoid this?
If you are using the password for a free trial of World Book Online, you will be required to manually log on each time you access World Book Online. This is not the case with a paid subscription.

Please note that this link may only be placed on your Intranet home page.
