Consumer Registration Process

To register for a subscription to the World Book Online Reference Center, you may access the automated Subscription process online, or call Customer Service at (800) 967-5325 to register by phone. During this process, you may subscribe to the Reference Center by using a credit card. After the subscription payment has been made using the online subscription form, you will be given the option to receive a Subscription Key or to Login instantly. A Subscription Key may be used to transfer the paid subscription to another party, for instance to give the subscription as a gift. The next step will be to setup your account information. After you have selected a valid user name and password, we will ask you for some contact information. If you are purchasing this service for someone other than yourself or your immediate household, we will ask you to provide a mailing address. This is so that we can correspond directly with the primary users of the service. Finally, at any time after you subscribe you may update your contact information in the 'My Account' section.
