Dictionary World Book Kids features an illustrated dictionary based off the World Book Discovery Dictionary. On a desktop computer, double-click a word in any article, activity, lesson plan, or science project to display an overlay of the dictionary definition. Search the dictionary from this overlay, or choose the dictionary link on any page to access the browsable, searchable dictionary. 1. Search just within the dictionary using the search box on the dictionary pages. 2. Browse for words that appear alphabetically before and after the selected word using the links in the left-hand index column. 3. Doubleclick words in the text to see the definitions, which appear in a box on top of the main content page. Click the x to close the box, or enter a search term in the search box to go to the dictionary feature (which will replace the content of your main browser window). |
