1. Document contents in the left-hand column includes title, author, and publication date of the e-book. The citation information link takes the user to the bottom of the article, where a citation for the document is displayed.

2. The Tools box at the top of the page includes options to print, e-mail, save, and save to the user’s My Research page. The default article display is by section; click the "View full article" link in the Tools box to see the entire article in one screen. The "Highlight search term in text" function will highlight the user’s search term wherever it appears in the article, taking the user to the first occurrence.

3. The Related Information section displays links to related resources, including primary source documents, images, Web sites, Back in Time articles, Special reports, and periodical articles.

4. The Related Encyclopedia content section includes links to related World Book articles, hand-selected by World Book editors to ensure maximum relevancy.

5. Selected primary source documents are correlated to state and provincial curriculum (where available).

6. Citations (in MLA format) are displayed at the bottom of each page.
