Help The home page of Enciclopedia Estudiantil Hallazgos has a large search box at the top of every page in the site. Users can enter search terms into the search box to search for articles, dictionary definitions, pictures, and maps. To conduct a basic search, type a word or phrase in the search text entry box, then click Go or press Enter on your computer keyboard. The basic search will also search for different tenses and plurals of the term you entered. For example, if you search for "Dog," it will retrieve articles that contain the words "Dog," "Dogs," or both. Encyclopedia article results will be displayed in the center of the results screen. Click on the maps, pictures, or videos icon at the left to see those content types. Users can go to articles use the subject browse buttons on the homepage and at the top of the pages throughout the site. There are eight categories: Arts To find articles through Subject Browse, click on a category to start. At the right of the page will be a list of articles that are categorized in that subject. At the left of the page is a list of more specific categories. For example, to find the "Fish" article:
Main features of Enciclopedia Estudiantil Hallazgos Activities can be printed, emailed, or saved. Click on Ensenelos teachers guides for English language educator’s versions of the activities. Ensenelos teachers guides include national content standard correlations, materials, objectives, and assessment rubrics. Printing To print an article, first click on "Print" in the box at the top of the page. The Enciclopedia Estudiantil Hallazgos window will change to print preview, showing the full article text. Go to the "File" option in the browser's menu, and select "Print." E-mailing Content Enciclopedia Estudiantil Hallazgos allows users to e-mail an entire article so that they may use the information from another location. To e-mail a text-only version of an article, choose E-mail from the box at the top of the desired article. Type the desired e-mail address into the field and click Send. Saving Content Enciclopedia Estudiantil Hallazgos allows users to save content from the encyclopedia to access the content off-line. To save information, choose "Save" from the box at the top of the page. The text of the Enciclopedia Estudiantil Hallazgos window will change to contain the desired content. Use your browser's Save As functions to save this information. Use the Back button on your browser to return to the Enciclopedia Estudiantil Hallazgos article. The bilingual visual dictionary includes thousands of images and more than 12,000 labels. To begin, select a category, then subcategories within it until you reach the illustration. To change the language to English, select the Ingles button at the top right of the page. The World of Animals is a Flash feature. For those computers without the Flash plug-in installed, it is available by a FREE download from Adobe (http://www.adobe.com). Browse the animals by selecting the arrows to the right and left of the animal tiles; choose an animal by clicking the animal's picture. Use the filter to display animals by category. Click on the link to go to the animal's exhibit for quick facts, images, and videos. Use the purple arrow to scroll up and down. Select View Article to go to the Enciclopedia Estudiantil Hallazgos article. To compare animals, close the animal's exhibit by clicking the red X and click Compare Animals to select a second animal. Click Compare Now! to display the comparison. Quantitative data is displayed in bar and written format at the top of the comparison. Ver en español |
